A Visitor

This morning we had a visitor:

Oh look a Woodpecker

He was really hungry

Getting ready

And he managed to do it:

He Did it

Joe took these photos through the kitchen window and they don’t really show how big the bird is but those woodpeckers manage to do it almost every time they try. They sure look weird compared to those fast tiny hummingbirds that use the feeder all the time. One day we will manage to capture one of them too!

The World Traveler and the Cook

After being deserted twice in a row and so close together too, Saki decided not to take any more chances:

Saki is ready

He is ready to go with us next time:

Saki in the Backpack

And isn’t this one happy cook:

Happy Cook

The colour combination? oh my god! (I am glad you don’t see the shirt,,, ) but at least I matched the pot ;)

And I will resume the knitting content soon.

Oh Snow

It is two weeks since we returned from our trip to the Northeast and I still didn’t find time to post, shame on me. So tonight I decided to share with you the first rule I learned the day we arrived to Boston: Don’t forget to tuck your shirt into the pants woman! Yes, a desert creature like me didn’t know this simple fact of life in the cold, amazing, no?

As you can see, I really like snow:

I am enjoyinh the snow in Toronto

How beautiful that white stuff looks!

This affection to the white stuff has to do with growing up in Jerusalem, where snow is a real treat. I will write more soon.
