Winter Wonders

Did you ever walk on water?

I did, today or actually it was yesterday as it is after midnight now:

Walking towards the fishermen, Lake Simcoe, January 17, 2010

Yes I am standing on frozen water, so weird!

Walking on water made me happy

I never thought Joe will manage to convince me to walk on one of those frozen lakes, but after seeing the trucks parking on it and all the snowmobiles cruising all  over it, I decided it must be safe,,,  I am glad I decided to be brave, it was quite a unique experience.

It is a pity I didn’t bring my knitting with me but I didn’t have a sock anyway!

I love the photos! Such a bleak landscape. . . but beautiful in its winter-ness. Frozen lakes are lovely — but they freak me out!

Do you know I’ve never walked on a frozen lake. You’re trying many new things in your new home.
