Saki sneaked into the frame and is acting all innocent as usual:

And this lonely sock is waiting for his mate:

who is still in the yarn state.

And the Ulmus II is all ready to be washed and blocked too:

The light edge was not a choice but a yarn shortage must, I think I like it though. I am waiting to see it blocked before I will take my final  decision on this issue.

Who Knows These Berries

So, this morning we took the camera and headed to the berries spot on our ravine walkway and now I need your help.

Jocelyn? anyone?  do you know these berries?

Lovely little berries on the bush

At first we had this:

At first we didn't fine many ripe ones

At first we didn't find many ripe ones

But as we went along the walkway and paid close attention to both sides, we found:

What do you think of our plate?

and also this:

Berales are all over the ravine these days

Berales* are all over the ravine these days

We ended up with this:

Quite a few berries and on such lovely plates!

There are quite a few red ones still on the bushes out there. The question of course is who will get to them first when they are all ripe and ready to eat. Please cross your fingers for us when you are not knitting!

And the no photos knitting continues, I am almost at the toes of the first sock of the second pair! they sure go fast with a heavier yarn.

* Berale – a nickname of a snail in Hebrew, based on a children book.

Hmmm,,,, Wild Berries,,,, My Latest Passion

We just returned from our “morning” walk (Joe worked almost until the real morning and thus slept until almost noon).

Along our way we found some lovely wild berries, we don’t know if they are wild black berries or wild black raspberries. But they are very yummy whatever they are!

I followed Joe’s instructions: filled my palm with the darkest ones we could find and pop all of them into my mouth, OH what a lovely taste, pure delight!

Unfortunately, we didn’t have the camera, I promise to take a photo soon.

And the knitting continue. Last night I finished the first Noro sock pair and started a second one right away.  The sweater is about 2/3 of a sleeve and a little body length away from completion too. Photos of those, soon too after the 26th (I forgot they are kind of a secret present, will explain).
