Not mine, Luly’s. Remember the beautiful sweater my friend Luly is keeping for many years now? Well, recently she found an old photo of her granny knitting and was kind enough to send it to me. As you liked the previous post about that sweater I decided to share this one with you too:
It is a pity the photo in not in a better shape, right? I would love to see more details of how she knitted and what is the project she was working on.
what a great photo Rachel! thanks for sharing
It looks like her needles are moving very quickly. What a nice photo to have!
wow!! well, one thing you can see is that she knit fast . . she is very still in her face and shoulders, but those needles are a blur!
Hello :)
I was surfing the web trying to find some inspiration for a drawing I need to make, and thus stumbled upon this blog entry. I noticed that you regretted the state the picture was in, and, being that I wasn’t really all that keen on starting on my drawing, I took the liberty of cleaning up the picture a bit. You know, kind of like a child that starts cleaning his room, in a desperate attempt to post-pone the home works a bit x)
In the first picture I cleaned it up a bit, removing some of the obvious signs of old age:
While in the second one I tried to make it more sharp and the details more visible:
I didn’t change the speed lines of the knittings though, as I found them to be an awesome effect.
Not sure if I was of any help at all, but at any rate I hope either you or your friend will like the cleaned version. Aaand, I got to post-pone my drawing about an hour or so x)
Good luck with all of your projects! :)
Errr… your blog filter filtered out the pictures I posted x)
If there’s any way I can mail them to you please let me know!
In case my email doesn’t show up as well, I’m Schwpz at the http://www.planetzot.com/forums/ as well ^^
Again, good luck with your projects ^_^
