Sidewinders

I don’t have much time to blog but Nona the great creator of the Sidewinders asked me how I am doing and if I have any photos yet. So here are the photos of what I have so far:

I have a swatch and I have gauge

Sidewinders’ Swatch

The yarn is 100% Merino of Fleece Artist I bought last October in Lettuce Knit in Toronto or was it in The Knit Cafe? you see, I bought Fleece Artist yarns at both, I kind of got a crush on those softies during that visit (not that it really passed during the next visit but this is a different post altogether).

Last evening we took a photo at the end of Act I:

End of Act I, Sock I of the Sidewinders adventure

Please excuse the quality of the photos we took them in the evening when the act I was ready.

I didn’t have a chance to post it today as I was busy finishing Act II. I didn’t mean to do it right now either, but I came to my computer to check if Nona posted Act IV already and found an email from her asking if I have any photos already, so I had to post the ones I got.

When I read her mail and went to find the photos for this post I realised I forgot to take a photo at the end of Act II and sailed right into Act III, how stupid of me, oh well. It is night here again so the photos are not good yet again.

I will have to take better photos and of all the stages too, when I will knit Sidewinder no. 2.

So here is my Sidewinder No.1 as it is right now, it is Act III after the second row of paired decreases of the toe:

And now if you will excuse me, I must go knit on this marvelous addiction Nona brought into my life. Thank you Nona!

Thank you so much for posting your progress pictures! I get a real kick out of watching the Sidewinders grow. I’m glad you’re enjoying the pattern and hope you’re happy with the end result :-)
