Fall in Northern Ontario

As I have nothing smart to say to justify my long silence I will just share some lovely photos we took the weekend before last in Moon Basin, Ontario:

The peaceful scenery out of our cabin in Moon Basin, Ontario

Joe liked this for a knitting spot:

Some use it to fish, others to jump and some like to knit there,,,,I preferred a more stable point:

knitting on the warm rock with a lovely companion

During one of our drives, I noticed on the map Rosseau Falls, so we went to check them out:

A lovely spot we found near Georgian Bay

The day was lovely so we even dared trying the water. First Joe:

Joe was the brave one to try it firstand then I agreed to try it too:

Oh it is cold!

Such lovely fall colors where ever you look and all the water,,,

We had a lovely vacation full of fall colors, water, water and then some more water (this will never cease to amaze me. It is the desert girl in me,,,,) lovely scenery, good company and some knitting too. Oh and sleep, you will not guess how much we slept. I can’t remember the last time we slept so much!

You and Joe have been in our thoughts. I wondered if you’d given up the blog, or whether you were traveling and busy. It’s great to see your beautiful pictures and your delight with the water. Welcome back!

Welcome back, dear Rachel! Lovely photos. Looks like you had a great time. (And I agree with Joe — love that knitting perch! Such a great shot of you up there!)

I like Joe’s spot for the ambience but I think I’d be waiting for the bench to fall.

Fall! Wow, really, really fall. It’s true then. We don’t have fall here. Those pictures are just glorious. (I’m so dismissive of my lovely golden hills!)
